I admit. Prior to finding out about SEO applications and Web promotion business, I was of the opinion that Google was great. I Used Google to look for everything from people, to visuals, to news stories to obscure things and indiscriminately trusted the findings. Then I heard about SEO software and an entire e-commerce dedicated to site optimization, and things were never the same. But even prior to that, after doing a bit of philosophical analysis, I got a feeling that search engines, Google to boot, know far from all, and pass on to the web community even less than what they know.

My Google experiences soon persuaded me that Flikr is a better image data bank, that with the assistance of social bookmarking tools I can access great news coverage without the need to rummage through Google SERPs (rummaging is more appropriate than Google search), and people search is better administered by Facebook. It seems like every time I look for obscure objects on Google, the results are almost always messy, to put it kindly. Try Googling for SEO applications and other SEO relevant topics on Google and you are just about prepared to lose your patience. I mean, come on, what’s the relationship between SEO products and employment websites or online casinos? Turns out in my disappointment.

And there are up to one thousand corporations on the Fortune list! But here is something else that irritates me and other check backlinks users, I am certain. There are individuals who buy SEO software products and use them to sell beddingon casino sites and such. What we see is junk that not only permeates the web but is also well ranked by Google.

What is the public perspective on this? They search for SEO software reviews and will instead find unrelated SERPs. They get disenchanted. So much for the “Internet fairness”. Does this mean that SEO application and service industry is bad? Probably not.

The abusers of SEO programs need to stop polluting the Net but it’s like asking hackers to stop hacking. The bad thing about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the prospect to be seen on the Net that is offered to the random dude like me. For now we just have to be patient with them. One can only hope that Google will put more effort into spotting the schemers abusing SEO products, and if Google doesn’t, the next search engine will.
